It's important to acknowledge the impact of societal perceptions of skin color. I understand that my light skin is often associated with privilege and that it can lead to unfair advantages. I've always rejected the idea that my skin color makes me superior, and I've always felt a deep disdain for the negative perceptions aimed at those with darker skin. We all face oppressive struggles. However, it's crucial to recognize the privilege of having lighter skin. I'm not proud of it, and I don't want it to define me.
